🤑 Better Sales Leads Beat More Leads
The number one value of growing a strong brand is sales. Sticky Brands sell more, faster. They generate:
🛍️ More demand
📈 Higher profits
🥊 Less competition
Sales metrics are an effective measure of brand performance. At Sticky Branding we use the 3Vs:
🛒 Volume: The demand for your products and services.
💨 Velocity: The speed customers travel through the buying process.
💵 Value: The ability to grow the lifetime value of a customer.
Volume is often the first place companies look to grow sales, “We need more sales leads!” But don’t lose sight of the quality metric.
Imagine just 5% of your sales leads convert into sales opportunities. That means you have to qualify and reject 95 out of 100 leads. What a waste!
Poor sales leads or conversion rates are an indicator that your brand messaging isn’t selling! It’s attracting the wrong customers. 🙅♂️
Instead of just generating more leads, generate more of the right leads. (I know. Thank you, Captain Obvious.)
This requires focus. To generate more and better-quality sales leads, improve your brand messaging at every customer touch point.
When prospects ask “how” questions about your products and services, instead of “what” and “why” questions, your brand messaging is working.
Do you want to do that 👆 for your brand? In the next few weeks, I will be making a big announcement of a new Sticky Branding program. If you’d like an early look and to secure your spot complete this form.
One Stat to Watch
90%
Today 10% of online content is being created by Generative AI, but that’s about to grow exponentially. According to Yahoo Finance, experts are predicting AI-generated content to reach 90% by 2025. 🤯
🤖 AI Content Disclosure
Are you disclosing what content is AI generated in your marketing? If you’re not, you may soon have to.
Forward thinking brands are beginning to provide AI Content Disclosure Statements that indicate the percentage of content created by AI. Trust Insights has an excellent resource on why AI disclosure is important and where the industry is heading.
100% of this newsletter’s content was generated by me, a human.
AI is disrupting marketing at lightning speed. For instance, Learngistics generated 40,000 words of SEO content in less than 10 days. After proofing and editing, we ran the articles through plagiarism detection software. They registered as 100% original content. Without AI, this project would have taken months. AI helped us do it in 2 weeks.
The rapid adoption and benefits of Generative AI lead to questions of authenticity and transparency. Companies are required to declare affiliate links and paid endorsements, AI is following a similar path with AI Content Disclosure statements.
Mastering AI is becoming an essential for all organizations. Learngistics, a Sticky Branding client, has a brilliant course for your team to Master Chat GPT. (Sticky Branding does not receive a commission or endorsement for this link. It’s just a great course.)
🍾 Missed My Anniversary
January 4th came and went, and I didn’t give it a second thought. Until a few days later I was telling the story of Sticky Branding, and I realized it was my 20th anniversary as an entrepreneur.
I joined my family’s business on January 4, 2004. I didn’t know it at the time, but that decision would send me down an unexpected path into branding.
That first year was humbling. It got so bad that I found myself in the trenches with my sales team dialing for dollars trying to find new customers. And I hate cold calling! It was a grind.
At the end of that first year, I had a heart-to-heart with both of my parents. I said, “If this is what it’s like to be in a family business, then I need to do something else. This is terrible!”
This is when I got one of the most important lessons of my career. My dad challenged me and said, “It’s not about the business we’ve built, it’s about the business we’re building. What are we going to build next?”
The statement rocked me to my core and it changed the trajectory of my career.
Twenty years later, that statement is still relevant. As business owners, leaders, and entrepreneurs, we can get caught up in our prior successes, but business is fluid and constantly changing. You’re always building for the next horizon.
What’s next for your brand?
